STEM Outreach
The Seattle SFTE Chapter is hosting a dinner for 9th grade students of Raisbeck Aviation High School on Tuesday June 10 and you're invited!
Scott McComb's 9th grade class is finishing up their spring flight test project (and many of you are volunteering to be judges for their presentations--THANK YOU). Every year we host a dinner for the students at the completion of their projects and the end of their school year.
Starting at 5:30pm, the students will have their projects available to browse, and you'll get a chance to interact with a number of them as they show off their hard work. Then we'll serve dinner, we'll hear from one student group as they give their presentation to the entire group, and finally we'll get to hear our featured speaker, John Somerville (retired Boeing test engineer), who will be speaking about the evolution of aviation navigation and human factors in flight deck design. This is an amazing chance to talk with these talented students and help them end their school year on a high note.
Admission is $20/person to help defray the cost of dinner. Aviation High School students and faculty eat free.
RSVP is not required, but we would love to hear from you to help estimate the dinner order. Please reply to this email to RSVP if you are attending.
