SFTE Webinar: Initial Flight Test Results of a Universal Ground Collision Avoidance System

Auto GCAS has virtually been an off-switch for CFIT in the F-16. In the 12 years since its fielding derivative technology has been under development for a variant for civil aviation. Presented in this webinar will be the preliminary test results of the latest version of this system, an advanced warning system with guidance cues for escaping imminent terrain impact. Specific demonstration of the system's ability to adapt to a wide range of aircraft performance ranging from moderate-performance fixed-wing to helicopters will be presented.
